Summer Homework

Oh dear – I forgot to mention this today. If you read this please pass on the message!  Summer Project!

Over the summer break you will need to complete the activity below!

Once complete, you will need to hand it into your English teacher in your first English lesson in September.

TASK: Visit a historic site – either locally, in this country or abroad and write a fact file about the place.

Success Criteria

1. Handwritten and on paper 2. photo or picture 3. At least 8 facts about the site 4. A short description of the site 5. An explanation of the location and the people connected with it 6. Correct spellings, punctuation and grammar It would be even better if you could…

Think about the layout of your fact file and how it could be presented to the class. Where will you place your picture? Can you use sub headings? Boxes?

Have a lovely summer!

Lady Macbeth Director’s Notes

What advice would you give to the actor playing Lady Macbeth in this scene?

Your advice must show your understanding of Lady Macbeth.

  1. Annotate your copy of the scene with comments on how the actor could play the role.

Example using Macbeth

Macbeth: I have done the deed. Didst thou not hear a noise?

Macbeth is nervous at the beginning of Act 2 Scene 2 as he has just murdered King Duncan.

The first line should be delivered in a miserable tone as Macbeth regrets what he has done. The second is said in a terrified voice, looking wildly about him at an imagined sound.
