The 30 Day Challenge

The 30 Day Challenge

How does a small repeated task turn into big change?

How can I stick to my goal?

How can I support others?

Student tasks

In groups you will discuss examples of challenges.

Individually you will decide on your 30 day challenge.

You will support each other in pairs.

You will prepare a before and after presentation.

You will keep a record of the experience.

Before Presentation

What is your 30 day challenge?

Why do you want to do your 30 day challenge?

What difficulties might you face and how do you plan to overcome them?

What outcome are you hoping for?

What evidence are you going to show to the class?

During

Each day you will record data/write a journal entry.

After Presentation

Describe your challenge.

What changes did you have to make in your life to complete your challenge?

What were the difficulties?

What were the results?

Support

You will write 3 messages a week to support your buddy.

I think the thirty day challenge is an excellent idea as it teaches the child commitment to a project as well as giving them a strong focus for a month.

  3. Leon's Dad says:

A great idea to give the kids long enough to do something very creative and positive with their time outside of school

I have looked at the site – very interesting site seeing what the children are doing.
